About
Ages: 14+ Experience: No experience needed What to bring: Supplies will be provided, however participants are encouraged to bring markers, colored pencils, sharpie pens, or watercolors if they have them. Location: The B-SIDE Studio located at 18 E. Blithedale Ave, Suite 12 This is a 90-minute journey in three parts: settling in, guided neurographic art, and integration. We’ll begin with a guided meditation, grounding you into your body, releasing stress and slowing down. Then, as Sound Garden’s healing frequencies move through the studio, you’ll be guided into neurographic art—a meditative drawing practice that uses flowing lines and soft, rounded intersections to support relaxation, reduce stress, and support emotional release. This intuitive drawing technique allows your hand to move in response to sound, sensation, and feeling rather than expectation or outcome. There is no goal to “make something right”, instead, the emphasis is on presence, awareness, and allowing what arises to take form on the page. The sound is intentional. Crystal bowls, gongs, and tonal frequencies are tuned to invite your nervous system into a state of openness, what therapists call the window of tolerance. This is the space where flow lives. Where you stop thinking and start creating. Joey and Maddi will guide you through the process, holding space for whatever emerges. This is not about performance or outcome, but about creating space to slow down and listen inward. No experience necessary. Come exactly as you are. FUTURE DATES / WAITLIST: If this workshop is sold out or you would like to be notified about future dates, please join this waitlist to be informed if a spot opens up or a new date is scheduled. About the instructors: Maddie is a sound healer, yoga practitioner, and creative facilitator rooted in somatic and nervous system work. Her journey began in 10+ years of competitive irish dance and then into yoga learning to listen to her body as the truest instrument and deepened through sound healing training, where she discovered how frequency and vibration could create permission for authentic expression. She designs and facilitates workshops that weave together sound, movement, and creative practice, creating containers where people can access the quieter, truer parts of themselves. Maddie believes that vulnerability and creativity are connected and that real art-making requires you to show up without armor, and that sound healing is the bridge that gets you there. Joey is the co-founder of Sound Garden, North Bay's premier sound healing studio. Sound Garden has been creating transformative sound bath experiences in Marin County for the past three years, Sound Garden offers individualized sound healing therapy sessions for people looking to invite restoration into their mind, body and souls.
